Where was I when the Shuttle Challenger exploded?
I had gotten home from working the graveyard and I'd only been asleep when one of my roommates (Pat) yelled up the stairs for me to hurry and come down. That the space shuttle had just exploded. I dragged myself down to the living room and had to watch it a couple of times before either one of us even thought to call our other roommate, Phyllis, who was already at work. She hadn't heard about it yet and had someone in her office turn on the radio.
Such a sad event. 7 brave and beautiful people died all because of a faulty O-ring that cost less than a cup of coffee.
