This is how I spent $25............
1. Visit V.V., my favorite thrift store:
Bought:
one wine-colored velvet calf length skirt $3.50
one floor length black satin gown $1.90
one long, gray india-style robe $.60
one long, plush, velvety-velour, honey-brown curtain *already tailored* $2.40
one CareBear Cousin Tender Heart Lion in mint condition (nostalgia) $1.91
total = $11.16
2. Quick stop at Walgreen's
Bought:
four Willy Wonka Chocolate and Graham Cracker candy bars (absolutely scrumptious)
total = $2.58
3. To Half Price Books
***** traded in 4 books and got $4.00
Bought:
one book for $4.98
total out of pocket expense = $1.37
4. To Target
Bought:
one 3x6 Sandalwood Candle (hours of wonderfully warm woodsy smell, I love!)
total = $5.40
5. To apartment laundry card machine
for 3 loads to wash and 3 loads to dry
total = $6.00

Of course I did go to the grocery store
and I spent $48.01,
but hey, a girl has gotta eat.
