Well Isn't That Special?
It's been a while since I last updated on here. I meant to do it a while ago but you know how life gets sometimes.
Life at home is much the same... only I finally got a TV for my room. YAY! I don't have to schlep outside to watch TV and don't have to move when my brother gets home. It is quite a change. My room is still a work in progress but I have most of it in place. Now all I need is a new bed and to get the shit my brother stores in here out. As long as they use this room as a catch-all the longer I will keep it looking semi-nice which I think drives my mother nuts. She wants it pristine and neat... I'll keep it pristine and neat when I figure it deserves to be that way. Besides I turned 26 a month a go... this is my room and I can do whatever the heck I want with it so NYAH.
Life at work is well sort of improving. They cut my hours drastically in February since it was slow and boy was that painful. Around that time, as luck would have it, things gradually started to get busier. And March was an improvement over February and April an improvement on that. My store is thisclose to making sales plan for the first time in over a year. This makes me VERY VERY happy. We close out the month tomorrow and I hope that we can tack on an additional $400 to the $4200 we need to do tomorrow in order to make the month. If last week was any indication (and I hope it is lol) Saturday should be a busy day. Last week I personally did $2200 in sales. If we make plan for the month I shall get that much-needed bonus... and I deserve it. I've been busy busting my ass this month and practically since February. I have had two (yes, TWO) ten hour shifts and I have two more next week. Hell yeah I deserve this bonus haha.
In other news I have met someone. Well... sort of lol. His name is Nigel and he lives in Australia. I met him on Facebook. He is a sweetheart in every way and... well, I like him a lot. Well... that goes without saying hahaha. He is a couple years younger than me and actually lives in Perth. We've been text messaging and he keeps in contact with me every day... except for the weekends when he goes "offline" in order to ready himself for another week. Funny thing is, even with this going "offline" he still manages to check in on me for a bit. How sweet is that? I never thought I'd meet a guy as attentive as he is and the funny thing is, I never knew what I missing until I met him. Most guys I never got the feeling what I said really mattered to them. It was like they were there but not really. But with Nigel? I feel like he actually is listening and he is taking it in. I feel as if he gets me like no other man I ever had met before. What is more, I feel like he cares about me and what I have to say and that blows me away. Amazed me really.
When I told my friend Raven about this I only half-seriously asked, "is that sad?"
To which she replied, "nope," but soon amended, "well yes that it amazes you that someone cares. Just shows what twats you've known before..." I cracked up laughing. Goes to show you don't it?
Well, that is snapshot of my life in the first four months of the year. It's May now, can you believe it? In another 30 days it'll be midway through 2009. Summer will be upon us and I will celebrate my fourth anniversary at Sunglass Hut. Blows the mind it does hehe.
I hope this elongated entry is enough to make up for four months of silence. I hope you all are doing well.
