Gamer's Autobiography

(I originally had this posted to a Google Site, but decided to take it down. Now it's here instead.)

This is a rather long post about my history as a gamer, hence the title, "Gamer's Autobiography." The Early Days and Teen Years sections I wrote about seven years ago, the rest I editted or added today.

It's nice to share this kind of stuff with you, even if we don't RP together anymore. Plus, the selection of games listed here are just highlights, so there may be other games we have in common besides the LJ community we met in.

Well, my dad was rather anti-games, so for a long time we didn't have consoles, and I was stuck programming the Amstrad from the manual, or playing the C64's half-hour loaders!
Post then we may very well have :) I do wish I had local geeks to have been introduced to things like D&D with. I know we have a local games workshop and forbidden planet, but thanks to my circumstances I never saw them at a time in my life where I felt I should be playing. Its something I want to do at some point. At the moment I have to get over my shyness at playing Fluxx even :D

Fluxx is so much fun! I hope you manage to get into other games you would like to play, I know it can be hard to get into a group when you're shy.
