I am ecstatic. I have a haul of lenses and lashes ordered from Honeycolor.com and I just can’t wait for them to get here. I’m probably not going to open them until October or somewhere around that timeline because I’ve been debating what lenses I’m going to take to Blizzcon, and well I have decided on the new ones that I am going to be receiving. What am I getting?
Well the Geo Medical “Bambi/Princess Mimi” Series in Grey, Green and Chocolate, and the Puffy 3 Tone Pink. Also the Dolly Wink eyelashes by Tsubasa Masuwaka, No. 2, 4, 5, and 8. Was telling my husband that what I wanted and showed him the items and his response to me was “I noticed that you’re leaning towards the lolita look.” It’s kinda funny, I’m not trying to get into the lolita fashion. More Hime/Onee gyaru style. I can’t stand being in big puffy dresses, which whenever I see someone else in those dresses it makes me want to sweat. I could imagine wearing that here in Florida during the summer season and I would die from heatstroke probably.
Well HoneyColor has a deal going on and you get free express shipping when you order at least $100 worth of items. So went and took up the deal while it’s still active. Also today hubby bought me a new lap desk, and it feels much better than my old lap desk. My old lap desk really wasn’t made for this laptop. It was like a lap desk for writing and such. This new lap desk has a pull out tray for the mouse and a cup holder on each side. I suppose for lefties that uses the mouse on with their left hand. This lap desk is going to see alot of uses. Debating if I should bring this with me to Blizzcon in October.
I also got a Nintendo 3DS for the sheer fact of having one and I wanted one since I heard it was coming out. Didn’t get a 3DS game though but that’s something I can get later. The only good title I saw that I had any interest in was Super Street Fighter IV, and Nintendogs with Cats, and even so I don’t know if I want to just spend the money on those games just yet. I’m waiting on Kingdom Hearts 3DS to come out I suppose. Which is probably the main reason why I wanted to get a Nintendo 3DS. This piece of gadget is just so shiney it’s like an OCD’s nightmare. I would actually cry if I found one scratch on it. Although the 3DS that I got the SELECT, HOME and START button didn’t work at all. Which was frustrating me cause I thought it was suppose to be like that until my husband was able to press the buttons on his 3DS and it took him to the home menu. Mine didn’t at all. He reformatted the 3DS and tried to go thought the set up himself and we came to the conclusion that I got a defective item. So we went back to Best Buy the next day and exchanged the 3DS for a working one. Once I had this one in my hands and played around with it knowing that the buttons works I was very happy with it. I suppose along with the 3DS we also got ourselves a new Wii bundled with Mario Kart, to replace the ones that we had a few years back that broke due to little tiny hands thinking that our Wii (and my PS3) was a coin slot.
We also passed down our old Nintendo DS and DSi to our daughter who was just ecstatic about having her own handheld game to herself now. She can play Dora, Spongebob, and Mario without having to ask us to use our DS anymore. Although ground rules were set that she had to sleep in her own room and keep her room clean or we will take the games away from her. We’ll see how long that sticks.
My husband also got an iPad for the sheer reason of having an ebook reader. Sure he could’ve gotten a Kindle but to much debating he decided on the iPad. He could download the Kindle app to it and the Nook app as well, also he likes the fact that he can watch Netflix and play Plants vs Zombies on it whenever he would like. So now he has Plants vs Zombies on all his technical peripherals.
With all that said there is plans for the artist in me to be getting a Cintiq 21. I have a Cintiq 12 and I love this thing to death, but I keep itching for a bigger working space on it and asked my husband about the Cintiq 21. His deal with me on that was that if he does get it for me, then he would like to have the Cintiq 12 that I have now. He believes that he could so more better graphical design work on that since it’s on screen. Hey I don’t mind the exchange deal if it get’s me the Cintiq 21, and even if he finds out that the Cintiq 12 tablet is not what he hoped for, I would use it as a travel tablet for this laptop.
Now the biggest news of all is that my husband finally was able to purchase a new vehicle for us to ride around in. The story goes like this: he owned a Ford Ranger which was a pretty decent truck when I met him with it. He paid it off and had owned that truck for a good… 13 years. Before we were married that truck was fit for just the two of us. He had put in a subwoofer and a little mini screen in place of the sun visor and we could play PS2, GameCube games in it. If we had it at the time, the 360 would’ve been hooked up to that screen as well. Years went by and the truck started to, well deteriorate. Not really deteriorate but it was starting to show some signs of wanting to get fixed. The heater stopped working, so during the winters my husband would go to work without a heater. It came to the point where it was either, pay to get a new transmission in the thing or get a new car. So he decided to get a new car. The last three weeks he’s been trying hard to get his money transferred to his bank account so he could be able to buy the car and once he did he was extremely happy.
Friday night he came home a little early with a new 2012 Ford Focus, and it was an extremely nice car. I mean it had Sirius Satellite radio, voice command, USB syncing, two LED screens, one for mileage and stuff like that and the other to show navigation and phone calls. YES phone calls. The car syncs up with your smart phone, and MP3 Player and you tell it to “play artist artistname” and it will search the MP3 player for that artist or track. Power windows and doors and all that jazz.
I guess I could upload the pictures again to the server but it’s already on Twitpic.
New Car tastes
The inside in shotgun mode What can I say, it’s been a good weekend. I’m hoping this week will continue to be good and happy.
