H/D Art: The Boy and the Sleeping Prince
Hee, time to claim my piece for H/D Career Fair 2014! Writcraft and I have been discussing the idea to create a fairytale-inspired Harry/Draco world since January. We were finally able to work on it for the Fan Fair. It was such a joy to be able to be able to bounce ideas off each other and cobble together a product that we both are proud off.
In the process of creating this fanwork, we often joked about fic-ception and art imitating life. We are an artist and a writer collaborating on a fairytale about an artist (Harry) and a writer (Draco) collaborating on a fairytale, geddit? Like Harry, I can't write to save my life, so I needed a writer as awesome as Writ to bring the story to life! *squishes her silly* If you are a fan of darker fairytales, do check out the fanwork we've made by clicking on the title below! Title: The Boy and the Sleeping Prince (Harry/Draco, NC-17)
Summary: Harry is miserable and tired of being an Auror, coasting through life until he’s forced to make some changes. Spurred on by his passion for drawing and working with best-selling author Draco Malfoy, Harry develops a charm which gives children a magical, interactive reading experience. But when it’s time to test the spell, the two men find themselves trapped in a nightmarish fairy tale world. Can they escape unscathed, or is Draco right in his assertions that there is no such thing as a happily ever after?
Warnings/Content Notes: Romance, Angst, moments of fairy tale inspired horror
Word Count: ~25k for main story / ~1k for the fairy tale
