i cooked this year
Duck stuffed with apples celery and onions
(dry duck, prick skin, rub in pepper and salt. saute an onion with 5 celery stalks, add to a couple of chopped up cooking apples and bread. mix and stuff into duck. roast at gas mark 6 for 2 hours, then rest for 20 mins)
Potatoes
mashed and roast
(boil for 10 mins, drain water and shake pan to fluff them. throw into smoking oil for 50 mins at gas 6)
Carrots
steamed and roast
(cover with honey and olive oil, roast at gas 6 for 30 mins)
Parsnips roasted
Pigs in Blanket
(roast for 30 mins top shelf, gas 6)
Roast onion
also made prawn cocktail for starters with own made seafood sauce
(mayo, ketchup, paprika, soy sauce and rice vinegar)
hopefully these recipes will come in handy next year too :)
everyone enjoyed it despite the different stuffing :)
