It's been pouring all damn day which usually gives me all sorts of glee except the fact that I finally planted my sunflower seeds yesterday and now the rain and wind is threatening to destroy them and their plastic cups they're in :(. This is how bored and how desperately I need a job, not only am I suddenly gardening I'm doing a science experiment to see how quickly they grow. Half are just in plastic cups the other half is covered in saran wrap like the rain forest in a 2 liter bottle we did in like 2nd grade and now I'm monitoring it.
Day 1: Plant seeds of three seperate types of sunflowers 10 of each type covering half in saran wrap. Place at West side of house for more prolonged sun exposure.
Day 2: Rain. Lots and lots of rain. Check on un-sprouted flowers and discover only one has tipped over but is still intact. Dump off water that has collected on top of saran wrap. No signs of sproutage.
Dear god I need a life... Pretty soon I'm going to be whispering sweet nothings to them to get them to grow quicker. CCCRRRRAAAAZZZYYYY...
Speaking of jobs had an interview today with a day spa in Salt Lake up in the Avenues. Very nice, only two rooms but she's expanding and has been there for three years so odds are I'll be unable to kill it, at least it'll take me longer. Sounds very promising, I'm supposed to call her on Monday and try to set up a hands on for Tuesday. She seems very interested in hiring me since I also have my esthetics stuff going on. She said she'd start me out at 40% instead of 35% due to my experience and she's also inputing all her paper stuff into the comp and said she'd pay me hourly to do that until I built up clientele. So I don't think she'd go through all that with me unless she was seriously interested.
The burn guy saga continues but is hopefully going to wind to a close. The claims adjuster asked for a copy of my contract which I e-mailed to her. And she's apparently dealing with the guys attorney. Since I haven't gotten any calls and only the one e-mail for info I'm hoping it's all just going to go away.
Mom leaves tomorrow to move Poppykins up here. I have to drive her ass to work at an ungodly 7:15am. Travis is going to take her to the airport in the afternoon and they should be back up here at the house on Sunday. I guess they're going to stay over at Trav and Kell's after dropping off their couches they bought while in AZ this last time since apparently UT didn't have any the were up to their standards, guess it's more fun to make my parents move those damn heavy things with Dad's bum knee. I'm a little irritated at my brother and his need for having to have the most difficult/expensive things at the cost of others. Oh well... Dad's applied for a position at SLCC which would be cool since after like a year I could get free tuition there.
Guess I'll go get Shawn up so he'll buy me some food!
