Top Favorite Bleach Characters: the shakedown

WARNING: Spoilers abound. I put bigger spoilers behind cuts, but if you've seen past episode 150, then it's cool.

I recently started watching the anime Bleach. I know I'm a latecomer to the fandom, but even though it's only been a few weeks, I'm already up to episode 148. I found myself a handy episode guide, which told me which episodes were filler ( Read more... )

Awww. I like Orihime. Sure, she's a bit air-headed but she's also got a sweet, caring nurturing side and she can be quite funny. She has some wild, out-there ideas that make me laugh. She's really not as bad as a lot of female charactors tend to be. >.> And she's not really a "Damsel In Distress", either which is a plus. She wants to get stronger and keep fighting and help Ichigo and the others. (Sorry if I seem a little pushy I just always feel sad when I see a favorite female charactor put down.)

Ikkaku is great. ♥ And Yumichika(Ikkaku's pretty-boy friend) is vaguely annoying at times but can also be fairly amusing in some ways.

Hanataro is my personal fav. XD The poor little sap just gets bossed around by everyone.

Ganju is great too though. He needs to be in it some more. (I forget where I'm at with the show... I watch the dub on Cartoon Network so I'm about two episode behind that since I haven't watched this past weekend's eps.)

I can understand defending a character you like when you see someone else say they don't like them, but it does come across as pushy. I didn't say I hated Orihime, but I'll admit there were moments when I wanted to smack her.

I've only seen maybe five minutes of dub, simply because I wanted to hear what Toushirou's dub voice sounded like, but I would still recommend sub over dub. ^_^;; I'm up-to-date on the latest episode (currently 227), so I'm probably way ahead of you...

I LOVE Hanataro!!! The poor sap... LOL

I wasn't trying to be. Everyone has their opinions and I respect that. ^.^;

Well, I watch it with my brother each weekend. I guess our way of hanging out together without killing each other is by watching anime. ^.^ So I watch the dub. (Also, Ichigo's English VA was the original black power ranger. I went into fangirl bliss mode when I learned that...) Everyone always recommends subs on everything but it's hard to enjoy a good battle when your reading the subs instead. lol And their voices aren't bad so I'm content.

They did seem to do a good job, like in Rurouni Kenshin or Cowboy Bebop - both of which I actually prefer to watch in dub rather than sub. So... dub isn't preferred on the whole, but for certain anime, yes.

Thanks. I like that you do have respect. ^_^

Like xxxHolic. I watched the sub first because the dub wasn't out. But the dub was better. >.> All in all I just try to avoid the dub vs sub thing. lol If the dub is available I'll watch that for conveinence sake. XD I guess I'm easily pleased in some cases though...

Often times the popular opinion is thought to be right but we can't honestly know that for sure. All opinions matter. *Shrug* I just try to see other people's sides of things too rather than argue over it.

I want to get into that anime/manga. You've got me interested.

I don't think all opinions matter. I think some people's opinions are worth shit, like Hitler for example... >.>

I would suggest manga over anime. The anime got kinda chopped up some when they took out all the tsubasa references. It's a good anime, still. But the manga is better.

Well, yeah. But I wasn't really thinking about anything serious like that. O.O I was just talking about things like on show/music/game preferences and such...

I mean, there are some situations where it's serious and I think both sides make valid points but... Well, in cases like that... Hitler was a seriously screwed up individual with screwed up views. Taking his opinions seriously would be like taking the opinion of a serial killer on murder seriously...

So maybe not ALL opinions really matter but... MOST do. (The opinions of people who aren't off killing innocent victims or commiting other sick and twisted crimes.)
