Rawr!!! EPISODE 230!!! THAT'S WHAT!
Gyah!!!!!!!!! I was fine with the filler one-shot episodes Bleach has been doing since they interrupted the middle of the all important fucking battle with Aizen!!! Grr... They were based off omake and previous chapters that hadn't been animated yet, so it wasn't even like watching filler, b/c they did have it in the manga. Well, that's changed. Now they are starting an arc. Duh, 'cuz they introduced a PLOT!!! Totally not found in the manga, and I'm hoping to the gods above that they at LEAST consulted Kubo before starting this arc...
The arc looks like it might actually *gasps* be good!!! *covers mouth* OMG!!! Can you believe it? Of course, they could take an original idea that might swing well and twist it round horribly, poorly execute it, and otherwise make it feel like you're watching a fangirl's bad fanfiction. *retches* And... *sighs* not to mention I'm really, really wound up! I was actually getting into this episode, and I was royally pissed when they ended with such a *GYAH!!!* cliffhanger!!! *chomps on laptop*
I HAVE PICTURES!!! I took some screencaps, and I also made a few quick icons, too. I'm going to upload them if and when I can, but... Hell, I ain't got the room for them, since LJ only allows 15 of 'em... *cries* My poor Toushirou... I absolutely love characters with a variety of facial expressions, and to see serious, cool, logical, mature Toushirou turn into an adorable, glompable, Shiro-chan is an ultra treat!!! I was like, "Blebleblemehbleh..." Goes from hot (see left) to kawaii chibi!!! (see right) *squeals* The screenshot on the left is seconds before Matsumoto throws something out the window. (see far right window in pic) That's when he turns around and yells at her, after wincing. (see icons below!) And.............. HITSUGAYA TOUSHIROU BLUSHES!!! FIRST TIME EVER IN CANON! wOOt!!!
The new arc is about Zanpakutou!!! It seems like it could be good, as I've already stated. However, my biggest beef is that they ALL took on human form, even those that don't have human forms like Hyourinmaru. To the left is a screenshot of Hyourinmaru in human form walking right past Toushirou, not saying a word, not even a glance, and abandoning him (apparently). Oh yeah... did I mention that ALL the Zanpakutou have now TURNED ON THEIR MASTERS?!?!!! I'm going into conniptions!!! Gyah!!!!!
Another good thing was the fanservice. Komamura had some screentime. Yay! Toushirou had a kick-ass moment being the first - FIRST!!! This is with Renji and Ikkaku there!!! 0_0 - the first to jump into the fight after Komamura is injured by his own Zanpakutou. It looks like they're giving a special focus on Haineko, who has a lot of personality. And... what else? Oh, I'm a little scared of Hisagi's Zanpakutou... Now I see why Hisagi himself is, too! I already am sure I'm going to hate the new bad guy. HOW DARE HE!!??!
