Well, first off I would like to apologize to you all for severely neglecting my LiveJournal for so long. It's hard to believe it's been two months since my last post. And in all that time I've only been reading on occasion. Well let's see I guess I owe you all some updates.
The biggest news is that one month from tomorrow will be my last day of work here in England. On the 25th I am relieved of duty at my current base, on April 1st I do my final out-processing, and on the 2nd I will be flying back to the states and, eventually, to my new base. I plan on taking a week or so off to visit with family and what not in Colorado. Then I will be heading to my new base Whiteman AFB in Missouri.
I've also been enjoying swing shift for the past two months, It's nice not having to deal with most of the people at work (as 90% of the shop is leaving when I show up). Of course due to my eminent departure that will be ending soon, after next week I go back to day shift. Of course I will still be dealing with the people in my shop suprisingly little as I will have lot's of Outprocessing appointments to take care of.
Well, that's the serious life update, now for the more fun, geekier side:
Since around Christmas, I have once again hit World of Warcraft with a vengeance. In the first week I gained many levels across all my toons. And since thin the big news is that my main has made it all the way to lvl 62. After a significant PvP pause when I was 59. I have done a little work in outland thus far, but have spent a decent amount of the last couple levels still in Azeroth lvl 60 areas with the slightly easier to fight mobs. All that said, fun is being had, and progress is being made... finally.
I've also been watching a lot of TV... sort of. I don't have regular channels to watch, but have discovered the joys of Downloading TV online. I have no less than 7 shows currently downloaded on my comp, all just the most recent seasons that don't have DVD's yet. Due to complications from the writers strike only 3 of them still have new episodes to air. Those two being Lost and Stargate: Atlantis and my newest discovery: Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The other 4 are 4400, Heroes, House M.D., and Supernatural. So yes... lot's of happy geekiness has ensued. My only prayer is that my curse will leave some of these shows intact so that they can survive into next season (and beyond I pray). Unfortunately it seems the curse has already claimed one victim in The 4400, as it was recently announced that the fourth season which aired last summer is to be the last. I pray that no more fall.
I suppose I owe you all a Netflix update... but I've fallen enough behind I'm not up to catching that up right now... hopefully it won't be two months before my next hello.
