...I don't know anything about what happened. But the atmosphere of this place suddenly reminds me of something that happened at home.

... I think I know what you mean... it's kind of like the air feels a bit heavier when you breathe it... lights aren't as bright and you don't feel safe in your own bed.

Well, the last time things seemed like this, I ended up having to fake my death and leave my country.

I doubt you'll have to do something like that. Plus, it'd be really hard to fake your death on a train. You'd have to jump off and land really well. Not sure I could do it.

There are ways. I've seen it done. [Maria shifted her weight awkwardly.] Though the trains where I'm from are a lot different than this one.
