Channel-flipping while getting ready for bed, I came across a Cartoon Network Adult Swim sketch involving an animated version of Darth Vader talking to an animated version of Mark Hamil/Luke Skywalker, the latter voiced by Mark Hamil himself. That Mark Hamil chose to do the dialogue in the following makes for a marvelous meta-commentary on the second Star Wars trilogy . . .

VADER: "Luke, I am your father."
LUKE: "That's impossible!"
VADER: "And I'm also Leia's father."
LUKE: "That's . . . improbable. "
VADER: "And the Empire will be overthrown by ewoks."
LUKE: "That's unlikely . . . "
VADER: "And I built C3PO."
LUKE: "Okay, now that's just --"
VADER: "And the mystical power of the Force? That just comes from bacteria in your bloodstream, called midichlorians."
LUKE/HAMIL: "All right, forget it, if you're not even going to take this seriously . . . !" [ stalks off the set ]
