Naruto
- Man, this is such an open-ended subject. Well, okay all of them are. Naruto...I dunno. I both love it and hate it. You can't it seriously. It's a fucking CARTOON. But I think it could have been done a lot better, and the fact that all that potential awesome was totally blitzed fucks me off. It's turned into a giant fanfic and it's just ridiculous. I think I need to just write it my self. HAY INDI REMEMBER WHEN SPIDER!KISHI CLIMBED UP TO YOUR APARTMENT AND STOLE YOUR YAOI DRAWINGS AHAHAHHAHA. But yeah. The overall concept is pretty standard, but there are some awesome characters. I like characters. I think it's because I'm naturally a people-watcher. I like to know what makes people tick. And this segues nicely into my next topic, which is:
ROLEPLAY/writing
- I like roleplay because I like developing characters. That's what I enjoy, more than the plots, really. Plots are fun, of course, but characters are interesting. You learn so much from developing them and trying to figure out who they really are. I think this is why I prefer RPing to 'real' writing. I can't keep a big over-arching plot to save myself, but give me a couple of characters and I can write 'em for decades. XD And I've met so many awesome people through RPing over...shit, a nearly ten-year span of it. They're the people who know me best and understand me best because we all met by choice, rather than chance. I owe RPing a lot.
New Zealand
- I could go one about my country for hours and hours. I love it, all aspects of it. It's beautiful in so many ways. We have so much diversity, and such uniqueness, and I've never seen another place that's quite like it. From the west coast with its lushness, to the desert of Kaimanawa (or however the fuck you spell it), to the Alps and Fiordland. We have almost every type of habitat and ecosystem in the world, plus more that are unique only to us. And Kiwis are generally just awesome people. We have a reputation abroad for being fun and friendly and just generally good to have around, and I think we really do deserve it. But there's bad with us, too, and we have to face up to it. I don't think it's any more concentrated or any worse than in other places, but I do think it's spreading, and it needs to be stopped. I don't my country, my people, ruined like that. As a whole we don't give ourselves enough credit- we tend to play ourselves down. People get more and more enamored of being like the 'big' countries - Australia, America. I don't get it. I've been to both, lived in Aus, and I suppose they're well enough, but I don't want New Zealand to try to be like that. It's not for us. We don't work like that, and we shouldn't become another clone. We have more than that.
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
- One of the greatest movies ever. BEETH-OVEN. FROOD. SO-CRATES. It's just...fucking win. If you haven't seen it, or if you dislike it, you are a disgrace to the human race and I am kicking you out. That's all I need to say.
Skeletor/80s cartoons
- 80s cartoons never die! My cousin's 7-year-old loves watching He-Man with me. That cartoon rocks. He wants to be Skeletor because he wants a skull for a head, but I told him he had to have the purple loincloth and furry boots and he wasn't so keen because Ryan's drummed it into his head that purple = gay. But fuck yeah, Skeletor! He-Man! Jem and the motherfuckin' Holograms! Fucking Care Bears. That shit never gets old. It's so shiny and sparkly and fun. HECK YES.
You can give me more of these, too. And I'll do the singing meme thing sometime next week! It's just hard to find a quiet place to record that shit in my house...
