i wonder if you and i will be afraid forever of the very thing we want most (most? is it what you want most?)
if i will someday reach out 
and feel your fingertips touch mine,
to know whether they will tremble like mine
or clutch as hard as mine

i feel quite sure they might, but what will happen when we open our eyes?

nothing could change this-
right?
