Hm.. not sure how much help I will be, but I'll try! First of all, where is Ingrid in the totem pole, because that will determine how much you can or cannot do in regards to her snippy-ness. Second, how well are you in with your supervisor, and what is her policy on sticking up for her employees? Probably, it's because you look alot younger than you actually are? I never think about someone's age, so I'm not sure I'm the right kind of person to comment on that. The only other thing I can suggest is the have a private talk with your supervisor. Honestly, a good supervisor you should be able to just point at their office and go, 'Hey, can we have a talk?' and they should be fine with that. Point out your feelings and concerns in your usual mature manner and make it clear that you want to be accepted as one of the team, and want to work in equal footing with the rest of your coworkers, but if it seems (by outward actions) that they are trying to accomodate you, go easy on you, or simply dismiss you then you are not going to gain their respect, or their confidence and therefore cannot become as truly effective as you have the potential to be. Of course, the proper attitude needs to start with the supervisor, and when she sees it going in the opposite direction, she needs to do something about it. Either stating something directly, or simply making an example of how competant you are, and how much she trusts you by giving you some project that requires the skills she knows you have...
Erm, but that's just my rather long-winded suggestion... sorry, didn't mean to make it that long!
