Instead of holding the posting queue until March 26th, when open posting begins, we're going to switch to a weekly release schedule between now and then.
We've had good early response in the prompt claims, and people claiming prompts in more than one medium, and people inspired to work quickly, so we can already see our combination of posting period and moderated posting getting constrictive. We want people to be able to post what they've got and come back and grab more prompts and make more things, and post in all their media. So we're going to stick with moderated posting (which, d'oh, we didn't realize meant only one entry in the queue per user at a time -- thank you,
ryf! and thank you to the person who gave us paid time so that the limit's now five!), but release the queue every Friday from now until the open-posting period starts.
That means less of a wait for us to enjoy the things people are making, and less of a wait to see your creations post to the comm. Yay!
At the same time, this is not meant to rush anyone. Your prompt claim is secure, and you have until April 9th to finish and post.
(see ETA!) If you're claiming the same prompt in more than one medium -- say, writing a fic and making art for it too -- and you want your creations to appear together before March 26th, either combine them into one entry, or post them on a Friday so that they get released right away, or contact us and we'll work out the timing with you. Our first batch of entries will be released on February 27th. Anything that posts on Friday we'll release the same day. On March 26th, we'll go to open posting as planned. Prompt claiming will stay open until April 9th, the end of the open-posting period.
ETA: We've now been generously gifted with paid time, which means you can post five entries to the queue before you get jammed up waiting for us to release them. This is so great! We're going to go ahead with the weekly releases, though, because we really like the idea of people not having to wait a month for their creations to appear in the comm, and even five entries could potentially be limiting for especially inspired and productive creators.
