(no subject)
My dress is, in all respects, done. I can wear it as it is and be happy.
The flash does some crazy things to this fabric! Also, the white part is the inside of my "corset"...the dress is *gasp* unlined!
I bought some generic pointy trim at the fabric store and even though I’m sure everyone has the same stuff, I pretty much don’t care. I’m planning to sew the trim to my sleeves on my lunch breaks this week. It doesn’t have to be well done since it won’t be permanent.
I hope this helps with the whole Venetian look.
I guess I’ll spend tonight making my mask and fixing my purse. I don’t think I’ll have the time for a flag fan but that’s alright. I also need to sew lacing rings (for my sleeves) and find my necklace. I do not want to make a new one. Also, I should fix the lacing strip that ripped. And I need to exercise and get to bed at a reasonable hour. The last item will probably be ignored.
Also, if you were looking closely, you might have caught a glimpse of the fabric for my next dress:
You can sort of make out the pearls I pinned to the fabric. I’m still working out how I want them to be arranged. I know that I want at least one pearl on every…uh…medallion?...leafy thing? You get the idea. I’ll do a proper post about the new dress after I finish and wear my Venetian.
