Having not been able to find a job in a year I'm having thoughts of going back to school. I am quite worried that the same thing will happen, that being wasting time and bringing me more into debt. Graphic design was just not the right option for me and nether was the school that I went too, the school just didn't prepare me enough to get a job nor did it give me the necessary skills to obtain one. Even though my degree says web design I only have the necessary skills in half the programs to do web design. And almost all graphic design jobs require 3 to 4 years experience, it is almost impossible to get your foot in the door.
The problem is finding something I want to do and finding something people want done, it is a hard balancing act to do. The "finding something I want to do" is the hard part for me, I really have no clue what I want to do. It's kind of pathetic, I'm 25 years old and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
My mother told me about PIA (Pittsburgh institute of aeronautics), they have programs for doing electrical and maintenance on planes (among other things that fly). And while I do love planes of all sorts, I'm not sure I would like working on them. Anyways I'm going to check it out on Wednesday.
