Your main fandom of the year?
Hm.. I spent the first part of the year spending a lot of time with Lost and The Dark Tower series. This second half has been Heroes and Metal Gear Solid.
Your favourite film watched this year?
Dark Knight and Iron Man are like two sides of the superhero coin, and great for their own reasons. I love that both were accepted pretty well by mainstream audiences too.
Your favourite book read this year?
The last Dark Tower book was a whole experience. I've never cried so much for characters. So amazing.
Your favourite album or song to listen to this year?
I listened to a lot of TMBG and gave NIN's "With Teeth" a second chance, discovered a new local band, and fell in love with Jak's "Hunger is Freedom"
Your favourite TV show of the year?
I was so happy that Lost managed to redeem itself after a crappy 3rd season. I hope Heroes can do the same this year..
Your favourite LJ community of the year?
None particularly stand out, to be honest.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
I had always known MGS was an interesting series, but its been great diving headlong into it and allowing myself to get so emotionally invested in 4.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Heroes. I kept watching it, but much like Lost the year before, I was really starting to not care what happened. And unlike Lost, there's no great big mystery to keep you watching until the end.
Your TV boyfriend of the year?
Sawyer all the way. And I think he kind of looks like my real boyfriend, so its not like cheating! :)
Your TV girlfriend of the year?
I can't think of any female tv characters that I would want to be buddies with. Definitely none I would want to date. :P
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Every Watchmen trailer that comes out.
The most missed of your old fandoms?
Harry Potter. Which makes me think I should give the books a second run through... I just started rewatching the extended editions of LotR.. got RotK left to go.
The fandom you haven't tried yet, but want to?
Part of me wants to see what this whole Twilight thing is about, in the "OMG so bad its good" kind of way. I started listening to the audiobook earlier this week.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
Watchmen is a mix of anticipation and fear, as I believe I've said on here before. Wolverine also looks to be pretty good, as long as they don't ruin Gambit by giving him an unbelievebly bad accent. I'd prefer no accent at all over that.
