Time flies when you're... busy as hell
Allo to all! I know, I know, it's been abso-freakin-lutely forever since I've posted but I have a few good excuses. So lemme fill in a few major events that have happened since I've talked to some of yall last. Celtic Roots (Mine and Drew's shop) is now officially open Mon-Sat 9:30am-3:30pm! Hallelujah! It's been a long time coming. It's just me and Drew who own it now and we let Travis as well as a bunch of other local people sell stuff on commission. For those of you who haven't already, come see us at 314 E.Main St. Johnson City,TN (across the street from the Hands on Museum). We have such weird hours cause we both have to keep our real jobs in order to pay bills (sadly, this means my soul is still being sucked out of me daily by the cookie co. at the mall).This means super long days for me and Drew but... hopefully it will all be worth it eventually.Good news about the business. We got a spot at the Sycamore Shoals Celtic Festival this year Sept. 10 and 11 through some people we made friends with.That's super exciting considering there is a three year waiting list for most vendors and it is only gonna cost us around $100 to do it. Even if all we do is break even, it's a great opportunity to publicize that we're open and local. The only kinda crappy thing is that it's the exact same time as when we were planning to go get our tattoos finished in Indiana. It sucks because I want mine finished really bad but it's also kinda good because we really need to save money right now. We also got a dog. Her name is Gaia and she's a boxer-malamute mix. Sounds weird huh? She's colored like a St. Bernard, has the fluffy malamute coat and icy blue gorgeous eyes, but she's built like a boxer. Anyways, she's a major ham to everyone and is well on her way to being absolutely spoiled rotten. I'm also an Aunt now. Drew's brother and his wife had Piper Javin Davis on Memorial Day and she's adorable. We just got done with a game of Godlike which rocked in a harsh way. Death by Chocolate has a whole new meaning to my character now (long story but just ask if ya wanna hear it). But we're starting back into Exalted and I'm excited.Yay for nerds and new nerdy friends.
