Voting Rant
I sent in the form for an absentee ballot two weeks ago to my county board of elections. My county is next to Cuyahoga county so it shouldn't take that long to send a ballot to me. As of this post, I have not got a ballot. I know that they got the form since I received political ads from my home county. I thought going to a polling place nearby but time issues and a test make this not worth the effort. Also, I don't think the place would allow me to vote since I didn't register in Cleveland. I should also mention that I been trying to call my board of elections all day today and kept getting a busy signal.
It's stupid things like this is the reason why people don't vote. Once I know where I'm going to grad school next year, I will be changing my place of registration. Another reason why voting isn't the easiest thing to do for me came from last year. I actually got an absentee ballot and punch it out. When it came time to mail the ballot, the envelope to put the ballot in didn't fit. Actually, it would have fit if a tab was removed from it but if the tab was removed, the ballot will be void and you had to ask for another ballot. That just annoy me so I decided not to ask for another ballot.
If you heard a scream within the next couple of days, that will be me venting out rage because the ballot came in the mail.
