Audit day
Today was audit day, as i expected nothing was planned and it was boring. The only good thing was when some medical reps came in to demonstrate a new anaesthetic machine, we got to test it and see if we liked it, i hope they decide to buy some of them cos the ones we currently have in theatre are old and tired and prone to breaking down. Not good if you have a ventilated patient attached to it!!!! There's a load of fuss being kicked up about changes to the night rota at work so we had a bit of discussion about that too, i'm keeping out of it, as long as i'm not affected i don't get involved. Also learned today that Alison (one of my anaesthetic collegues) may be leaving us, this saddens me a lot cos she's very nice and is good at her job too, we will be yet another good worker down, we've lost so many this year and it's really starting to show. Not in work till 10.30 tomorrow so i get a bit of a lie-in, but have to work till 9.00pm tho, boooo!!!
Nothings definate yet but it's getting increasingly likely that i'll be going on holiday to Egypt in November, i hope this comes off, i need a week away with the lads. Should know more by the weekend, just have to sort out leave at work and arrange the dates with the boys.
