Last week I finally bought me a Playstation 3. As of right now, I love it. It was a little annoying at first. Mostly cuz of what they don't tell you. I bought the new PS3 slim. Which is smaller, cheaper, and uses less energy than the normal one. Of course it loses out on other stuff as well. It doesn't have WiFi, so I had to pay for an ethernet chord for playing on the internet. And it had no cable for HD. I knew it didn't have an HDMI cable, but it didn't even include an RGB cable.
HDMI is for making the picture 1080p. RGB (red green and blue) has the resolution of 1080i. In short, p is better than i. And the number means the number of lines in the picture. Standard defition is about 480.
Anyways, I ended up paying for more than what I thought. But once it was all set up, it was great. I bought the game "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves." It's sort of like an Indian Jones-Tomb Raider kind of thing. It was a lot of fun. Shooting people always is though. It has a 5 on 5 multiplayer mode for online, which is also a lot of fun. Except I suck at it. The only real probelm is that the controls don't always do what you ask since they can do a lot within the game. Such as the O button that if you're near a ledge, you'll drop down, or if you're near a wall, you'll hide behind, and any other time you'll do a roll when pressing it. It doesn't interact the way you want sometimes. Still a lot of fun. It blends into everything else rather well.
Now that I know my Internet will work well, I want to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I love COD 4, and this looked amazing. Can't wait. I guess it stands to reason that I won't be using my ps2 for a while. My poor games. lol
