Bored in Fairfield...

Hmm... so I haven't posted in a while. Oh wait, I know why... its cause nothing worth posting happens in fairfield! But anyway, here's the rundown for the past few days.

Saturday, went to my cousin's graduation party. Chilled out there. Drank a little wine, but ended up hiding in the basement with the other cousins, cause it felt kinda strange drinking in front of my parents. So, I proceeded to get completely shitfaced, and hooked up with my cousin's girlfriend, who mistook me for him because she had had too much to drink, as well. Only not. Instead, we watched Dirty Work (which I thought was rather amusing), then hijacked the computer and stayed up for a while talking to Mariah and trying to figure out the cheapest place to buy a futon for next year at school, due to the difficulties presented by the small size of the bed provided by Skidmore. I really think the school promotes a "hook-up" culture rather than a long-term relationship culture. Just look at the beds-they're really too small for multiple people to sleep in very comfortably, which is only an issue if you're in a relationship. If you're just hooking up, then you're only inconvenienced for a night or two, but if you're in an actual relationship, where you share the bed often, they're just too damn small. And I'm rambling. So I'll stop.

Sunday, we drove home. Attempted to play games with Chris, who broke his foot, then gave up and hung out with Ian for a while. We decided to play the role of delinquents again, so we went to Lake Mohegan with some pellet guns and shot stuff (nothing alive, mainly empty 40s that we found lying around). I successfully managed to rip a hole in my shirt and my hand while climbing over a chain link fence separating the Lake Mohegan property from the GE property. Then we came back to my house, set up a second monitor on my laptop (which is quite fun, I might add), then snuck out onto the public golf course, dug balls out of the bushes on the edge, and hit balls for a while on the driving range.

Monday, I woke up around noonish. Mowed the lawn. Went for a bike ride, somewhere between 7-8 miles. Was really smelly. The accumulated smell from running around last night, bug spray from last night, bug spray from this morning, mowing the lawn, and riding 8 miles wa not pretty--be glad you weren't around for that. So anyway, after showering, went to work. Such a chill day.. I love working the late monday shift. We onlyl had 2 carts of stuff to put on shelves, which didn't take long at all. So then we had a few hours to kill. So here's what we did... keep in mind, I'm getting paid $10/hour to do this shit...
-cranked up the music
-tried on various sunglasses, cause we got in a bunch of new ones
-came up with the most bizarre combinations of funky shirts, hats, and sunglasses that we could come up with
(we decided we need to make a band, I'll be the front man in my blue fish shirt, greek fisherman's cap, and silver Oakley knock-offs)
-chilled on the front steps in our strange attire, waving to people
-got the guy in the Pepperidge Farm truck to honk his horn as he drove by (and it was a nice solid honk, too... like "honk honk hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonk" as he passed us and went down the block)
-went back inside, lost the outfits, put on Linkin Park and moshed for a good 20 minutes
-almost fell asleep in one of the really cushy folding chairs
-laughed at Gianfranco and Craig, who had taken out pillows and blankets and sleeping bags from the galley section and gone to take a nap next to the shoe section
-pumped up the tires on the folding bike and rode around the store, only to discover that the front wheel and the handlebars aren't quite as attached as they should be
-declined the beer that Craig got out of his car, seeing as I had to drive home in less than half an hour

So that was my incredibly difficult day at work. Of course, tomorrow, I'm working from 9-5. Which means I'll actually have to work.

Actually working at work? What the hell's up with that?
