Just so you guys are aware ... I'm asked what my favourite lyrics are in this meme alot ... Which is inanely difficult for me, so I use a " / " to show a separate section of the song. What is it about?: See, the problem with this question is that songs can be interpreted in so many ways. Haunted ... What I believe Haunted is about is being unable to totally break free from someone - You're haunted by their world, which I take to mean their presence. I think it refers to a broken/abusive relationship - that one that you know you shouldn't be involved in, but you can't help return to. Which, again, plays into the concept of someone you just can't escape, someone who haunts you, no matter how many times you try to break free. It's inevitable that you'd return to them.

What is it about?: Uhm ... I don't ... know. Looking at the lyrics, they actually don't make much sense. If someone insulted this song/band, would you stand up for it?: Maybe. Yes. It's my absolute favourite song, so I think I would defend it. As for the band .. A lot of people are put off because, you know, it's Slipknot. They scream alot in their songs, but their songs are amazing, so it kinda bugs me that people take them at face value. Especially since Corey has another band - Stonesour - in which he doesn't scream, and it's just amazing. Alright - there are two different parts I've decided on. While listening to it, this part is one I can't help but sing along to:

What is it?: Hekkushun - RADWIMPS (Yes. It is still my most played song ... And I haven't even been listening to it alot lately!)
Why is it your most played song?: Because it's a song that I was nigh obsessed with for a while, for various reasons. I love this song for alot of reasons - The awesome Ulquiorra-centric AMV (With UH undertones) endeared it to me, The mix and mash of English with Japanese made me sit back and go "Oh wow", the guitar-work is amazing and ... I just adore it. Also, it earned a special place in my mind considering it's the only Japanese song in which I've heard "cock". Somehow, that made it amazing, and amusing all at the same time. Strange last reason is strange.
What's the strangest place you've ever listened to this song?: I don't know - but the most awesome would be in Japan. At least, I think I listened to it in Japan ... I probably did...

What is it about?: Frankly speaking ... I don't know. I'm reading through the lyrics right now and I'm astounded by what the translation, supposedly, is. It sounds like it's about someone who has been repressed to the point that they don't even know who they are anymore, and developing a strong hate towards the person who did the repressing - maybe a Father figure? - ... To the point that they actually snap? ... Turns out, it's actually a pretty messed up song, haha!

Does it really deserve to be your 5th most played song?: I'm not really sure. I do like this song. I mean, I really like this song, and it's probably my favourite Butterfly Effect song ... But there are other songs that I like much more than this that aren't even on the Top 25 list.

What is it about?: Uhm ... I don't ... know. Looking at the lyrics, they actually don't make much sense. I suppose it might be about someone trapped in a world - maybe by an overbearing parent - and an outsider looking in, seeing the pain that person is in, trying to encourage them to try and break free. I honestly do-not-know. If someone can come up with a better meaning for this song, please, tell me.

If someone insulted this song/band, would you stand up for it?: Maybe. Yes. It's my absolute favourite song, so I think I would defend it. As for the band .. A lot of people are put off because, you know, it's Slipknot. They scream alot in their songs, but their songs are amazing, so it kinda bugs me that people take them at face value. Especially since Corey has another band - Stonesour - in which he doesn't scream, and it's just amazing. So I suppose I would try to talk some sense into someone who talked bad about the song/band because they don't understand them

Alright - there are two different parts I've decided on. While listening to it, this part is one I can't help but sing along to:

Why do you like it?: Because ... I fell in love with it because of an amazing UH AMV, and I adore the lyrics to it. The imagery of it ... And the lead singer's voice is really nice. I don't know, I just like it.

What is it?: Hekkushun - RADWIMPS (Yes. It is still my most played song ... And I haven't even been listening to it alot lately!)
Why is it your most played song?: Because it's a song that I was nigh obsessed with for a while, for various reasons. I love this song for alot of reasons - The awesome Ulquiorra-centric AMV (With UH undertones) endeared it to me, The mix and mash of English with Japanese made me sit back and go "Oh wow", the guitar-work is amazing and ... I just adore it. Also, it earned a special place in my mind considering it's the only Japanese song in which I've heard "cock". Somehow, that made it amazing, and amusing all at the same time. Strange last reason is strange.
What's the strangest place you've ever listened to this song?: I don't know - but the most awesome would be in Japan. At least, I think I listened to it in Japan ... I probably did...

Is this your favourite song of all time?: No. Number 4 get's that honour ... But it is an amazing song.
Has it always been your most played song, or does it keep changing?: It's been my most played song for an extremely long time because when I got it, I listened to it almost religiously ... Which gave it an extreme head start over any new music I got. Evidenced by the fact that it's at 151plays ... And it's still the top spot after over a year. ... I really did listen to it alot didn't I?
What is it about?: Frankly speaking ... I don't know. I'm reading through the lyrics right now and I'm astounded by what the translation, supposedly, is. It sounds like it's about someone who has been repressed to the point that they don't even know who they are anymore, and developing a strong hate towards the person who did the repressing - maybe a Father figure? - ... To the point that they actually snap? ... Turns out, it's actually a pretty messed up song, haha!
What's your favourite line from this song?: For the lulz factor, "Can tell it from your sight and your voice and your eyes, that goes up and down
just like your licking, sucking my cock - ”it's mine!!” " Like I said, when I first heard this song, the fact that it was a Japanese song saying Cock really stuck with me XD And I'm currently still reeling from the surprise of what the translation is. Messed up song.
Conclusions:
- Apparently, I listen/ed to my UlquiHime playlist ... ALOT
- I listened to Hekkushun alot more than I realised when I got it. I'm surprised It's still there considering I haven't listened to it much lately.
- I really need to reset the play-counter on my iTunes. I've listened to the ones in the Top 25 so often that new music doesn't stand a chance of getting in there.
- Because of that, my Top 25 isn't indicative of what my favourite songs at the time are - or else other songs like Parachute by Ingrid Michaelson, Your Call by Secondhand Serenade, My Eyes (On The Rise) from Dr. Horrible, Bulletproof by Kerli, Monster by Meg & Dia, Hero or Monster by Skillet, The Drumming Song by Florence & The Machine ... And a myriad of other songs would have been in there.
- I find it really difficult to choose just one "line" of a song that I really like. There are normally at least two or more sections of a song I like.
- This list doesn't really show my fondness for amazing Guitar riffs ... Really, that Disturbed song should have been swapped with Down with the Sickness - which is so damned amazing it's mind blowing.
- It does, however, show my love of Japanese music, which is good. I'm especially pleased to see two of my favourite Namikawa Daisuke songs up there.
