Program first day

Sep 18, 2006 21:31

First day in the Rad Tech program was typical of most first class days... schedules, syllabus, all that jazz. Intros were made, and such. I knew a few people from A&P... all women, of course... considering the ratio, that is not surprising. I knew Sharon, Lisa, and Holly right away... and recognized a couple of others, including Kimber. I also met a couple of others... Brandy (ha!) and Yvonne and Karie. Yes, there is plenty of eye candy to keep me alert. lol. And the great thing is... these are women who have a level of intelligence and commitment to get through the prereqs and gain acceptance.

Radiation Physics looks like it is going to be a BITCH. Already have homework....

Bought my last book after class... a two set workbook for $90... bringing my grand total for the quarter up to around $600.

My Physics class got changed around, from two days to three days... making them shorter. I will now have Monday and Tuesday from 4 to 5:30... and Thursday until 6 pm. That means there will be no conflict with the child exchange... until PJ's schedule change in November.
I called her to inform her of this... and we had a discussion on "what happens then". She will be working until 7:30 pm... and I won't get out until 5:30. Her plan is to just have the kids ride the bus home and leave them alone until I can pick them up... provided her new hubby isn't home. That may never happen though. She also informed me that she will have to work every other weekend. NOT good. The weekend is when I have to work. Otherwise, I don't eat or pay rent. Conflict on the horizon. Her new hubby is also not guaranteed to be around on weekends, as he works out of town quite frequently. It's more than a month away. We'll see what happens.

Took the kids to Mel's tonight to hang out. Damn. I have to get a grip on this... or find a girlfriend soon. The woman is driving me crazy.
More later.

Also had a nice evening chat with Tracey....
