After last weekend's train debacle, I once again opted for a Saturday outing, and since the weather report predicted a heat wave, I took the earliest train to Lenggries. In an effort to relieve my strained muscles, I also took the gondola. That plan didn't work too well (see ascent/descent), because apparently I suck at map reading. Even in the higher elevations, the heat was almost unbearable, and the 3 liters of water I packed were absolutely neccessary.

Lessons Learned:
- Saturdays really are better for hiking, since the trains are less crowded.
- Trains are unbearable in summer if the airconditioning fails. As it apparently does very often, resulting in a sauna like atmosphere.
- The Lenggries train station does not have water for sale. Just beer. Making a train ride without AC even more unbearable.
- I suck at judging ascent/descent from a map. I honestly thought this outing would be less strenuous than my previous ones.
- Luckily, I must be getting fitter, since I wasn't sore the next day.
