GRRM Has It All Wrong

Winter isn't coming. Even though I'm desperately waiting for it. I feel like someone is having a big laugh at my expense. I move to the mountains, looking forward to getting a nice, long snowboarding season in and what happens? We get the warmest November ever, resulting in no snow whatsoever! None. Not even higher up. It's ridiculous. It is supposed to get colder tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
In other news, I was stuck in Munich this weekend. Not going back to Berlin until the 16th, when I'm driving up to attend the Christmas party at my uni. I say christmas party. Actually, it is a pretty infamous party, with kegs, and hard liquor, food, DJs and dancing til you drop. And literally everyone is dancing. The parties usually last til morning and by 1am, you'll have my professor, his predecessor and pretty much everyone from 20 to 80 years on the dancefloor rocking out to Nirvana. But until then, I'm here in Munich. And this weekend, I couldn't even go to the mountains, because my car was in the shop to get its inspection, and winter tires. The shop people are also taking care of getting me new Munich license plates. Poor Joey is now a Bavarian car :/ (Yes, I named my car. It's a Peugeot, so Joey seemed appropriate. Yes, I know I'm weird :D ).
I also went to the European Outdoor Film Festival on Sunday with some new people I met here in Munich. Look at me socializing and stuff!!
It seems, I was right in the beginning, when I thought my best shot at meeting people would be through sports. So far, the only people in Munich I know (besides the people from work) are a group of four girls I go climbing with. We were all looking for climbing partners and found each other through an add at the alpine club one of us put up. Since the group is so big, there's always someone up for a bit of climbing and we usually go twice a week.
What else is new? Oh yes, there's been some development on the boyfriend coming to Munich front. His potential employer came to Berlin last week and it looks like he might be doing part of his thesis at their offices here in Munich! I really hope that works out.
