Sometimes it seems to me that good things only happen in groups -- like the phrase "when it rains it pours" that I mentioned recently, only in a positive sense. Maybe that's because once one thing good happens, though, my mood is such that I start thinking everything, no matter how small, is also good.

I rode my bike to work today and, because of endorphins or whatever else, and despite the fact that my seat and consequently my pants were wet, I'm still feeling cheerful. I finished the psychology course that I've been slogging through for the past two months -- it was really getting to be like pulling teeth. I'd read through the thing five times, and it was poorly written to begin with. I'm thrilled to finally be done with it.

Since I couldn't find my supervisor when I finished to ask what I should do next, I decided to go make lunch, and I ran into her in the break room. She said she'd got a new project for me but I should go ahead and take my lunch first, so I microwaved my Trader Evil tamales and watched Bleach. Now lunch is over but for some reason the website Ana wanted me to work with isn't loading, so I'm haunting LiveJournal while she tries to fix it.

(Update: it works now, but the file that should be there isn't. Now I'm waiting for access to a different site where the file might be hiding.)

Last night I was to give a presentation in my senior seminar. I've been stressing about this presentation, and so even though we ran out of time and I'll have to actually give the thing next week, I've got it written and prepared and I can go back to spending time on classes other than Naipaul. I don't think I've read anything for Cyberpunk since the first few weeks of class. Fortunately, this does not make me as bad a student as it sounds like it should, because I'm doing a creative writing project instead of a final essay, and what I need to be familiar with is characteristics of cyberpunk writing rather than the specific texts. They are interesting books, of course, and I'd like to read them; I just don't have the time, what with this senior exit requirement breathing down my neck.

Speaking of senior exits, I registered for commencement the other day.

Check out Chris and Thomas on Myspace, if you've got a moment and you're up for some great music. They're an acoustic band from California; the second song on the playlist is the best, "Broken Chair." I've been really digging them lately and I may go see them play in SF on Saturday night.
