hateful computers...
...everyone of them in my life right now. At home we're having computer problems, at work we've had little quirks and then today whole sections of the property are mysteriously not connected to the server. Bah! Although I did fix most of the work related things. Yea me!
I'm a little annoyed that my work email isn't working. I pretty much only ever check it on the weekend and right before I walk out the door because I'm spending my entire shift at the desk with no assistance. So yesterday, we had a guest upset about the state of the carpet in her room (big, ugly, red stain...room should never have passed inspection), I send an email to the bosses and the Executive Housekeeper from my email cause it's not really something the GSAs need to be a part of. Today, when I get in around 3, is anybody aware of what happened? Nope, not one person. At least the guest didn't cause trouble on her way out the door today.
Then the restaurant was having computer issues, then WE were having computer issues. Amazingly stupid reason everything wasn't working properly: the POS interfaces weren't loaded on the server. I have no idea who closed them, but I started all the interfaces up and the world was right again.
Now expedia is being hateful sending me 8,000 reservations (which is actually a good thing, but I wish it had happened when I had a second person here and I was searching for projects to keep her busy). So I get to manually put all those in.
On a positive note for once...Saurav comes home tomorrow!!!!!! And I have three days off!!!!!
And I hired two full timers today!! Yea for more flexibility in my schedule!
