MOTHERLAND!!!!
So...I'm here in Russia and it is so amazing it really is beyond words...but I shall try. We found this really great internet cafe super close to the hostel where we will be staying for the next few days. It is only about $2 for an hour.
I could start to describe everything we have done in the past 14 days but it would be hard and it would take forever so I am going to leave it at: "Simply amazing, everyone should come and visit." and perhaps when I get homa nd I am not so much under a time constraint I will right a ludicrisly long entry. I will also be posting an indecent amount of photos on facebook.
I have been learning things while I am here...for instance, I honestly could live just about anywhere as long as I had relatively good access to internet and a phone. Also, Russian ice cream and chocolate is incredibly good. I love the name Dema....actually Russian names in general are pretty fantabulous. Russian writing is beautiful but even if you stare at it 'till your eyes get bluring and your learn some of the sounds, the words still Russian and thus cannot be read unless you know the english translation. Russian people are wonderful. I adore Moscow and so far St. Petersburg has been enjoyable but nearly as fun. Perhaps it is because we saw the real Moscow first and so far pretty much all we've seen of St. Petersburg is pretty touristy. Plus we got to spend time with the fabulous people from the Seminary in Moscow. I am determined to keep in touch with them, even if I have to learn Russian just to write to them.
We have yet to see Lenin when we go back to Moscow, but we have seen Red Square, the Kremlin, St. Basil's The Winter Palace, the Hermitage... Lots of places...but I have to go my time is running out...
