(no subject)
Tonight I went over to the apartment of two of my friends. One is going to help me alter the dress I am wearing to Spring Formal. We are going to add on a organza train with a little bustling...
We are going in a big group, some of the people I know and some I don't. Probably more on the don't side. Anyway, now that my dress is taken care of (or at least I know what I am going to do with it.) the only thing left is finding a date.
Another friend of mine, he's in the navy (and stationed in Virginia), told me he'd take leave and come take me. But I told him that was silly. Then when I told Crystal and Tracy what he said, Crystal told me she had heard of people doing stuff like that before, and that I should find out if he was serious. Because if he wasn't, we needed to know so she and Tracy could get me a date. Because they all have dates...and it would be kind of uncomfortable for me to go without one.
Anyway, so I've written him an e-mail and we'll see what happens.
Tomorrow we head back to school for three more rushed weeks of school (no matter what, the last month before summer or winter break seems rushed) and then finals! Oh my!
And then it's off to Russia! It's starting to sink in...I'm not quite to the anxiety stage yet. Probably when I start packing I'll start to panic alittle, get a bit overwhelmed. Maybe because I know I'm going to feel that way and I am preparing myself, maybe it won't be that bad.
I think I am going to make some flashcards to put around the house to make me remember how to say things in Russian. Like bathroom, door, fruit, clock...stuff like that.
