In the circumstances, a snappy header is too much to expect

I am in that distressing state where I am awfully bored and want to talk to someone or do something but have nothing to talk about and am too tired to move. Clearly there's no point talking about films, so scratch that off the agenda ... a meme it is, then.

Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you ( Read more... )

dollhouse, i have no tag for this, cats!, writing, stupid memes, sports night

I would be on the LJ writing words of my own...but I had to work late...and then watch Eleventh Hour, (though why I don't know! Since it was majorly disappointing.)...and then have a bath because I am as fat, ugly and hot as a rhino after aerobics...(only without the actual aerobics bit).

And you are a jolly good writer, may I say! Plus you have an EXCELLENT sense of humour, and your comments and wisecracks make me laugh more than anything else I read. (And yes, I do mean in an intentional way.)

And okay..."words" *G*

I don't know why I watch Eleventh Hour either, it's bum-numbingly dull. I suppose it whiles away an hour, and it's too hot to sleep. (Last night I gave up on my bedroom altogether and brought my duvet down to the sitting room because the downstairs is a good ten degrees cooler. Though still not actually cool.) (I slept on the duvet, not under it. And the cats were fascinated by the whole thing.)

I feel much about writing as I do about my alleged IQ - if I'm so smart, why cn't I get a decent job, and if I can write, why don't I get read? God, people don't even read my LJ any more, never mind my fic. It's all frustrating and dispiriting.

Anyway! You know, this meme doesn't actually specify that the words have to be one's interests, I could just throw out topics at random: 'green' and 'Arkansas' and 'spaghetti'. But! Let's go for Kew, magic, Modern Art (in capital letters), music, and, just for a laugh, housework.

Sod it, I just answered this at length, and then when I clicked "post comment" it came up with a "cannot display the webpage" screen and my comment is lost completely.

Bugger!!!!!

I'm paranoid enough that whenever I write a long comment I copy and save it all before I click post. Of course, it's the times I forget to do it when the computer hangs ...

I was a fair way into the long comment and was suitably paranoid so I DID highlight and save it...

Then I went off to find a Smiths lyric to illustrate a point...(yes, it was a long comment, as I said)

And then all the comment was finished and dusted and I clicked "post"...

At which point all went south faster than you can say confederate forces in retreat...

But, "Ah-ha!" I thought to myself. "I have dun the copy thang! All is not lost."

So I pressed paste.

And found that I now had a whole sentence of a The Smiths lyric that I could paste anywhere I damn well please.......

I am da stupid.

Well, Smiths lyrics never go amiss. You could've just posted that and let the world wonder.
