I could see that all happening perfectly, a scene out of the show - and Dan saying 'Penises' made my night.

Dan had a lot of trouble saying 'penises' and was still slightly pink round the ears when he got back to the office. But Casey has learned not to talk to him for the rest of the afternoon after he's seen Abby, so he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. (Natalie did, and was all set to ask him about it, but Jeremy headed her off at the pass.)

Re: owed fic. I am leaning towards smut, although I make no promises. Would that do instead? I can always fall back on doooooooom and glooooooom if stuck, it is my metier, after all.

He should have talked about the dream to Casey... but then Casey's all about the repression, so never mind. You should have contests all the time if it makes you produce more lovely ficcage. I certainly enjoyed the fruits -- and snakes -- of this one, and I had missed the original post altogether. I look forward to the pinecones. ;)

Oh, and this is neither here nor there about the story, but it is SN related, but if no one's thanked you properly for keeping the fandom alive on crack_van, then... well, we suck. *snicker* Poor little SN probably would have been dropped from the comm ages ago if it had been left to most of the rest of us, and you always manage to get something on their I had missed reading, so much thanks for that, too, missy. :)

Danny did try a few times to talk about his dreams to Casey, but Casey got all embarrassed (because it was Personal Talk, and men don't do that) and brushed him off, a bit more brusquely than he meant to, and Dan hasn't tried again since.

Pinecones will be forthcoming as soon as my rather numb brain and my extremely owie arm allow. I hope.

You're welcome, wrt crack_van. I was quite miffed when SN got dropped for lack of reccers, and feel beholden to try to keep its profile up. I wouldn't mind if someone else took over, but, failing that, I'm quite happy to step up whenever they ask me. Although a little more notice would be nice next time.

Mmm, yes, Abby. I always found Abby very off-putting on the show, but I kind of like her here. Maybe it's the glimpse inside her head...or maybe it's because she's actually being *useful* to poor Dan. :)

Abby is always known around here as the Worst Psychiatrist in the History of the Whole World, Ever - in between shouting at poor Danny until he fell apart, dismissing his concerns out of hand, discussing him with her friends, and wearing those awful blouses, I suspect she did as much harm as good. But Danny's breakdown gives endless fic possibilities, so it's all good, really.
