That was fantastic. I love your writing pixies so much I want to come round and feed them little tidbits from a silver spoon.

Casey's expression is one that Dan knows only too well: belligerent, defensive. It's the look he gets when he's behaved outrageously by anyone else's standards but his own and is astonished to find himself meeting with disapprobation.

I know that look. It makes me want to shake him or kiss him. I imagine that's just how Dan feels too.

I had to type very, very fast to squeeze it into 30 minutes, but luckily it talked itself through without too many glitches, or periods of staring into space thinking "What the hell is the word I wanted?" And now I am knackered.

But yay, I did fic. (Am I allowed to yay myself, or is that arsey?) It may be a throwaway fic, but nonetheless, it's something.

Oh, aww, I was a little worried Dan would feel like second best. He isn't, though, not to Casey. Great work, whether for half an hour or half a week.

Given 45 minutes I could've tidied it up, Polyfillaed over the cracks and come up with a better title, but it'll do for a piece of fluff. No, Danny isn't second best, he's what Casey wanted all along. Casey's just a bit thick some days. Thank you for commenting!
