Today I finished painting the main part of the study. By that, I mean everything below the picture rail (everything above will be painted white). D has been able to move some of the stuff back into the study, but we're waiting to move the rest (mostly my desk and another bookcase) until the area above the picture rail is painted.
I am so tired. I spent about two hours doing the second coat this morning and it pretty much wiped me out. M and I tried to have a little power nap this afternoon but he kept sucking his thumb loudly and playing with my hair. Still, it was nice to be laying down. The forecast is sunshine for the rest of the week, so I hope to get the kids out of the house more - they've spent most of the last few days indoors, though D managed to get them into the garden yesterday where they dug in the dirt and tried to make a well (???), My mother brought them the complete set of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books when she came in January and, as we are plowing through them, there has been a general interest in how butter is made, wells are dug and log cabins are constructed. It's pretty funny.
