(no subject)
The house is just looking better and better. We finished cleaning J's room yesterday and it looks way better. Of course now there are puzzle pieces everywhere, but it least it's messy rather than dirty. D also vacuumed B and M's room yesterday and it's nice to think that they can (sort of mostly) keep it clean.
I took some samples to a couple of cafes last week, and popped into a new-ish local one today to see if they're interested. The woman said yes, the man was less sure (apparently his sister in law does the baking for them). It's family owned and run and seems like a nice little place. I was asked to bring some samples in, so I'll do that this week.
Busy week planned so far! A friend coming over with her two (home educated) kids tomorrow morning for coffee, then mammogram in the afternoon. Tuesday all three kids have the dentist and then B has a thing at his new school for kids who aren't coming in with many friends (only three others in his year are going to secondary school with him). On top of that, we had a letter from the estate agent that the house is being inspected on Tuesday. Of course this means finding somewhere to hide the cats for the morning as we're not actually allowed to have them here. They said they'd be coming between 10 and 4 and I managed to narrow it down to between 10 and noon with the excuse that I have a child that naps after lunch. D will likely have to put the cats (and their stuff) in the car and drive around the corner and just sit there till the inspection is over.
The weather has been iffy for days - patches of sunshine with brief spurts of rain and clouds. B and M haven't been doing all that much besides re-reading the entire Harry Potter series. B is anxious to get back to school, M wants to wait till September. D has taken them ice skating for the afternoon and it coincided very nicely with J's nap. Score :-)
