Lots and lots on my mind these days.  I keep meaning to keep up the writing about our day-to-day stuff but it all seems jumbled up.  In the last week, the kids have gone to school, I've taken J to the park/shuk/wandering around town, we met up with someone D knows from conferences who happens to be on sabbatical in Tel Aviv with *her* family and had lunch at Te'enim, which has an amazing view of the old city and several vegan options on the menu.

I went to visit Gramma on Sunday night (alone!) though I've just realized that I forgot to take off her support stockings.  My bad :-(  And I survived another huge family gathering with my father's side today, which included a tour around the Davidson Center followed by a huge lunch at the Mount Zion Hotel.

D wants me to make an appointment with the career office at the university when we get back.  Bah.  I can't wait to see what suggestions they have.  He thinks it's time for me to have a career.  Can't imagine what that would be.  Bah.

Also, we leave in ten days.  Argh.  I'm stressed just thinking about it.  I have so much to do once I get home, and the fair is the least of it.  I keep telling D that he needs to organize stuff to do with the kids so that I can bake. We'll see if that happens.

The kids have mixed feelings about leaving.  Well, B does.  M is ready to go home.  B misses his friends in the UK but has gotten really attached to his friends here, and to Gramma and my aunt and uncle.

What else?  Gramma keeps asking me if my mother in law will be able to handle J this summer.  More on that in another post.  In the meantime, I'm just going to sit here on the balcony and enjoy a glass of wine.
