a laptop is convenient, but you can modify a desktop computer more... it also depends on what you want to to do with your computer. i personally would like a laptop just because i can bring it wherever i want.

I heart my laptop. It is perfect for college, I'm home with it right now. So that is what I suggest. Desktops seems more ideal for homes with families. Hope you are in good spirits.
