Maybe if I tell myself....

"Try to update once a week", then maybe I will!

Let's see, week in review.

The Book Club potluck was fun. We decided to do a taco bar. The Curmudgeon even got creative and made an Empire Grill menu. When someone tried to order anything but Taco Bar, he had some excuse why the Grill was out of it. Everybody showed up, except our Founding Sister (yeah, go get married, priorities get all screwed up *I know you are reading this...heehee*). Our newest mother even showed up, which was nice (you could see the joy of getting out of the house in her face!).

Other than that, it was your average week of too many things to do and not enough hours to do it. It snowed like crazy on Wednesday. Most of the area schools were closed....except ours. The Curmidget had an absolute conniption fit (which is why he stays "The Curmidget"). So, instead, the superintendent decides to send them home 2 hours early. It was stupid. But then they don't have to count it as a missed day.

Minime, VBBLOCKHEAD and I went to a "Sound Meditation Concert" on Thursday night. Let me just say, due to this concert, I was in a church THREE.NIGHTS.IN.A.ROW. That's really a new record. I'm surprised my chakras didn't explode by the 3rd night! Maybe they were ok because it was Unitarian. Anywho, I digress. We were all a little skeptical (except maybe Minime, she is perched on the edge between the here and there). When an old couple came in, they got on the floor in a position that made me think of the tantric sex episode on Sex In The City. The "Musical Intuitive" had the singing crystal bowls and gongs and flutes and all kinds of good New Age stuff. She gave a nice explanation of what was going on and what things meant and where she was going. Then the concert started. It was actually very interesting (even when the old guy was snoring). It was quite relaxing and I could see how people meditate to it. We all left there quite upbeat and happy. So, it did something! Here is her website: http://www.mwt.net/~makesmusic/

So, that's it! In a nutshell! Oh, and it is ZERO degrees right now, -18 windchill. Why can't it be warmer on the weekends? Must I leave the house?
