y'know, there are certain points in a man's life that he can't but feel proud.
just reading about you being this angry...well, it makes me think that I must've rubbed off on you somewhat.
and yeah, you really don't want to get me started on this. all I'll say is that if the religious have a real hang-up over calling it "marriage", then just allow it to be a purely secular establishment. At least, purely secular as in how the government will recognize it because the truth is that the religiously inclined homosexual will be religiously married regardless. SO I say forget about religion, it has nothing to do with it. We're just talkinga bout people having basic rights like inheritance, hospital visiting rights, etc..
Anybody who disagrees with such a simple recognition of basic human rights can be taken out behind a shed and shot for all I care. I don't give a damn how nice they are or what they've done in their lives. They should be shot like dogs because that's how they treat those different from them and, in all honesty, the world would be a better place without them or their bullshit morals infecting the minds of young ones. Shot...like...dogs. In the fucking face. It's people like that who were Nazis and slaveowners, people completely unable to look past differences to see their value and contribution as true compassionate human beings. They fall into line behind their bigoted leaders and take comfort in knowing that everybody is just like them. Hell, let's castrate them too while we're also taking out their kneecaps.
