I got home safely last night, in case anyone was worried. And I got some Taco Bell on the way home :)
It took 40 minutes for the LOT Polish Airlines people at Bratislava's airport to figure out what kind of fees to charge me for my 2nd bag and one that was overweight, but in the end it was just over half of the amount that they had cited to me on the phone, so I can't really complain. AND United didn't hit me with another fee from Chicago-Minneapolis, so that was good. And the food was pretty decent. I was worried there would be more fees for that, too, since I had heard of some airlines doing that, but luckily there weren't, unless you bought alcohol.
Anyway, I'm home and already miss Austria. Now I just need to find a good reason to go back and a way to finance it.
