Current (and not so current) loves:
1. That little guitar line right before the rolling organ starts in Al Green's "Love and Happiness."
2. Beirut. Especially the way Zach Condon uses his voice and the way they use ukulele. Which brings me to..
3. Ukulele. Learning new stuff. I love how portable it is, how it sounds, how I can just zone out forever and play little ditties. Latest acquisitions: Big Rock Candy Mountain, Something (Beatles), You Are My Sunshine, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, and next up: Rocky Raccoon and Plastic Jesus.
4. Karaoke. I've gone the last 2 nights running and plan on going again soon. Latest songs: Tiffany - I Think We're Alone Now, Toto- Africa, Ace of Base- The Sign, The Mamas and the Papas- California Dreaming, and Prince- When Doves Cry.
5. The 5:30am bike ride I have to take to work. I love it. The city is sleepy and dim and the air is cool and all the major streets and mine, alllllll mine for a change.
6. Nude beaches. There are only two in Oregon and I've been to both of them within the last month. Ace.
