Mating mystery diptera. The female (below the male) is carrying what I believe is a nuptial gift (a dead insect to feast upon while sexin' it up). I wish I knew what these were, I had only head of nuptial gifts being given by males in the order Mecoptera. These are definitely dipterans though because they have halteres instead of the second pair of wings.
