Well well as usual when something shows any risk you quickly realise who will stand with you in a fight.
Everyones been commenting about the war. Not surprising really cause there's the possibility that another generation is going to get pulled into a potentionally catastrophic (and i mean end of the world style) conflict.
I've never been big on politics or the law (local or international) but I know the difference between right and wrong.
Here's how the events of late look to me:
Saddam (god only knows why he wasn't executed a decade ago) is acting like a spoilt brat with a firecracker. Everyone knows he has it, knows it could do some damage and know that he's stupid enough to use it. Yet he still denies that it exsists.
The UN are just faffing around giving one empty ultimatum after another (and in my opinion will be right up until they have one of Saddams "illegal" missiles shove right up their...)
The US (the school bullies in the playground of the world) have decided that they don't like the fact that Saddam proves a threat and have decided to take the law into their own hands and are going for war, only held back on a small, ripping, tether by the UN. (typical yanks shoot first ask questions later)
Us brits, well what can I say. We have always been the bitches of the US and this just proves it. We are also having delusions of grandure and thinking we are still leaders of an empire (bring on darth blair) and we can control most of the world. Finally for us we own the 2nd largest amount of oil in the world (guess who owns number 1).
The french.... Well they're French what more can i say?? They are the biggest hypocrits and antagonists going in the world today. Of course they disagree strongly with anything the british say. That's what they do. (eg. british beef has no longer got BSC well the french say NO {well ne pas anyway} we will not eat it.) i could do those examples for years.
The russians. Here's the only ppl I'll be nice to. I can understand the Russian point of view with the severe dislike of conflict. They really have had a hard time in the last century or so. Every time the western powers get a bit peeved they loose millions of people. What must be understood though is if action isn't taken soon the risk isn't to just them.
anyone else to mention..... Can't think of anyone right now.
Ok I've slated half the world in one fell swoop. and if anyone of power reads this then I will prolly be shot on sight.
Final Bit: With the insults and the sever lack of tact I do hold to one major point. Saddam Hussain (is that how to spell it?... no matter) is a true threat to his own people and the people of the world over. He reminds me very much of another certain person who proved to be a threat the world over, and, although he hasn't decided to build an empire yet, it would not be long to come. This kind of threat needs to be beaten at the source not when he's started rampaging over the whole of the middle east.
I will not sign up for war, for I have no taste for mass violence. But I will join the frey if I am called apon to do so. I will not do it for the honor of the US UK or UN but I will do it to help remove a threat that has been holding his massive distructive force over us for years (even though he claims that they have all been desmantled)
