Natalie and I just got back from the doctor's office, where he rubbed the little machine up against my wife's belly and we found out...
IT'S A BOY!!
It's a very surreal thing. Before, I always knew we were having a baby, but now it's definitely way way way more real. It's not only a baby, it's my boy.
I'm looking forward to all of you getting to know little _ _ _ _ _ (we're not telling the name, but it's a good one). You've all made an impression on me in some way or another, and I know you'll get a chance to make an impression on the little guy as well. David, you're going to have to give drum lessons. Trevor, you and Tyler will give guitar lessons. Leonard & Jeanette are responsible for instilling a sense of drama. Kelly, you teach grace. Rachel, you must share your love of literature, learning and "hair as fashion statement." Julie Beth, you teach infectious laughter. Breanna, I ask that you share your way of seeing the world and your sense of art. Cindy, you share your love of learning. Abby, help unlock the secrets and wonder of science and deep thinking. Michelle, it's up to you to teach loyalty and friendship. Allie, your sense of poetry and your wonderful use of the language.
For all the family, Momma Stephanie, Bucket the head, Anthony... help us surround this child in love.
