I didn't have much luck getting out of a similar situation.
My then girlfriend (now wife) and I had tickets to see The Goo Goo Dolls in March of '07. We got 'em way in advance, etc. etc.
MY brother decide to have his shotgun wedding (he's 38 at this time and is able to provide for the kid and they were planning on getting married anyway, but this expedited the process) on the same day and have me in it. They were thinking of either that day or the next day. Guess which one he picked?
On the upside, if you can't get out of the graduation ('cause I know your sister really gives a shit if you're there or not), you have yourself a nice little investment purchase.
ANd re: livenation.... It took me two hours to get through to someone after messing with the server online and the phone system. Many times online, I got to the point where they were about to go to checkout once, and then in clicking "continue," it timed out.
The person on the phone I talked to was very nice, though, and basically said, their online server just wasn't equipped and prepared to take such a hefty volume of people at once. It just bogged everything down.
Let's just hope they are better prepared for the next tour, eh?
