Maddy.
I got bad news from Eric this morning. Maddy's house burned down last night. Some of you might remember her from a music night or two or from other gathers at Eric & Carrie's. Or as the unfortunate soul who tried to use the upstairs bathroom on Thanksgiving day. She was the photographer at their wedding. She lost everything, including the wedding photos. As I understand it, she's okay, but the welfare of her cat was still in question when I got the news earlier today. She could use some help. Here's the email which Eric forwarded to me this morning from Jade:
Hello, everyone. A friend of mine lost her house in a fire last night. The police/ fire dept are investigating but do not know how it started. She lost everything. The only clothes she has now are the ones she has on her back. If anybody has any clothing about size 14/16 pants and large/extra-large shirts, coats, sweatshirts, PJs, or ANYTHING that they are not using/getting rid of, she could really use it. If you don’t have anything to spare, that’s ok, too. Please just keep her in your thoughts then. If you do, please let me know via e-mail and I will come find you and collect it. Thank you so much!
If you'd like to help out with goods or money, let me (or Eric or Carrie or Jade) know and we'll get it routed back to Maddy.
