Sometimes, I really hate that I can hear the other analysts. I hear one now giving out a URL.
"H, T, T, P, S, semicolon, backslash, backslash... No, it's backslash..."
No. No, it's not. It's fucking forward slash. And that other thing, the two dots, that's a colon. Gah!
I had no idea the in ability to differentiate slash (/) from backslash (\) was so prevalent until I started this job. Backslash, people, points backwards. Ya know, the opposite of how we read our text. Hrmpf.
